Paperscaper is an artist inspired by the high desert of California. The art and inspiration began on his first visit to Joshua Tree National Park. After frequent visits shooting the landscape and night sky, he noticed the stunning silhouettes appearing during dusk and dawn. These unforgettable images sparked the idea of transforming his photos into Paperscapes (Paper Landscapes). The process involves tracing photos by hand, then cutting and assembling the traced images into multiple layers. The final step of illuminating the work is done methodically in small shadow box frames.

His work is currently on display at the Integratron (Landers, CA) and Mojave Desert Land Trust (Joshua Tree, CA). MDLT also receives a donation for each piece sold in the current series.
