The Cholla Cactus Garden has one of the most unique and unexpected features of Joshua Tree National Park. Located at the border where the Mojave and Colorado Desert meet, a massive growth of Cholla (aka Teddy Bear Cactus) surrounds the area. Beyond the garden lies an endless view of the valley and mountains to the southern direction of Pinto Basin Road. In this piece, the path to the garden and mountains to the west are recreated, along with a creosote bush and cholla cacti. This scene is a revision originally inspired by a portrait of my niece photographed at the same location.

This piece measures 9"h x 9"w x 1.75"d
